Behind-the-scenes update on all the happenings at DBL, plus an update from future Service Dog Rocky
Feb25 Pack Update

Dear Friend,

As a Pack Member, your support makes incredible things possible. One story that illustrates this is the recent placement of Certified Hearing Dog Lupo with Melissa, a busy mom of four and dedicated teacher.

Trained by our skilled team, Lupo was prepared to provide the soundwork and situational awareness Melissa needed. For Melissa, who removes her hearing aids at night, Lupo brings peace of mind by alerting her to sounds she can’t hear—like the smoke alarm while she’s asleep. Lupo has also given her greater confidence when venturing into public without her family. Watching Melissa and Lupo bond reminds us why we do what we do—your support changes lives.

This month, as we highlight the love and commitment that go into raising future Service Dogs like Lupo. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to help shape a Service Dog’s journey, we’ll be sharing inspiring stories about our volunteer Puppy Raisers all month long on social media.

Thank you for making these life-changing stories possible. Together, we continue to create new beginnings—one life at a time.

Sincerely,

Bryan Williams

ROCKY'S UPDATE

FEB25 Rocky Pack

It's time for a pup-date from Rocky!

January marked a big transition for Rocky as he settled into life at DBL’s West Campus for his professional training. His Puppy Raiser, Jenna, along with her adorable kids, Bree and Cody, dropped him off and shared a heartfelt goodbye. What a fantastic family! Over the past year, they have been an absolute joy to work with, not only raising Rocky but also spending extra time after puppy classes helping socialize other dogs on campus. Our trainers truly appreciated having Bree and Cody interact with our other dogs in training, giving them valuable exposure to wonderful children. Jenna has done such an incredible job with Rocky, and we have no doubt he will thrive in his training!

New Beginnings and New Friends

Rocky is already making new friends, including fellow future Service Dog, Gizmo. He’s been enjoying playgroups and has gone on several training outings to proof his obedience skills in different environments, including warehouse stores and parks. His confidence is growing every day, and we’re so excited to watch his journey unfold!

Check back next month for another update from Rocky!
