Dear Friend,
Thanks to the generosity of monthly donors, Facility Dog Jacob was placed with victim advocates in Tucson, AZ this past May—and he’s already making a remarkable difference. Your support carried Jacob through his journey of training and preparation, helping him grow into the dog he is today, ready to offer comfort in some of the most difficult moments people face.

| Recently, Jacob participated in a challenging sexual abuse trial involving two victims more than 25 years apart. He stepped in to provide respite for another Courthouse Facility Dog who had been working the case and needed a well-deserved break. When Jacob arrived after an especially emotional day of testimony, something unforgettable happened: the older victim—who hadn’t connected much with the other dog—melted into Jacob’s joyful greeting. As they embraced, she smiled and laughed for the first time that day.
Because of your support, Jacob is bringing comfort, relief, and hope where it’s needed most. From all of us at Dogs for Better Lives, thank you for making this possible.
With sincere appreciation,
Bryan Williams CEO, Dogs for Better Lives |

| | | Rocky is officially placed as a Certified Hearing Dog!
Just last week, Rocky was matched with his new partner, Jozlyn, in southern Oregon. The two of them bonded right away, and it was clear from the start that they’re a perfect team. Before the first day was even over, Rocky was already alerting Jozlyn to the oven timer and her phone alarm as if he had been working for her all along.
As training continued, Rocky showed just how ready he was for this role. From the door knock and smoke alarm, to a name call, key drop, phone alarm, and phone ring—he never missed a beat, leading Jozlyn with confidence each time. It quickly became clear to all of us that this was his calling.
Big adventures ahead
Rocky’s journey doesn’t stop here! Next month, he and Jozlyn are heading to New Zealand for her college internship on a nature reserve, where Rocky will be right by her side as she works as a ranger. After a few months abroad, they’ll return to Oregon to embrace college life together. With so many changes ahead, Rocky’s resilience will give Jozlyn the confidence to explore new environments and opportunities.
Thank you, Pack donors!
We couldn’t have done this without you. Every monthly gift you made added up to provide the consistent support Rocky needed throughout his journey. Because of you, Rocky was able to grow, train, and step confidently into his new career—changing Jozlyn’s life in the process.
Check back next month for our next pup!

| | Future Service Dog Jack Meets his Puppy Raisers
Eight-week-old Jack recently arrived in Ohio to meet his new family, the Breges. The family was overjoyed to welcome him and quickly shared how well he was settling in. “Jack is doing great—he’s the calmest puppy we’ve ever met, so brave and playful with our kids and our dog,” they told us. They added that he brings a smile to everyone’s face and is already fitting in perfectly. With the love and hard work of volunteers who helped prepare him for this journey, Jack is off to a wonderful start on his path to becoming a Service Dog. |

| | Rudy's Library Training Adventure
Future Service Dog Rudy spent his Friday practicing down-stays and working through distractions on a recent training trip to town. Outings like this are an important part of every service dog’s journey, helping dogs learn to stay calm, focused, and reliable no matter what’s happening around them. Whether it’s the bustle of people walking by, new smells, or the excitement of a library visit, Rudy is learning that his job is to stay steady and attentive to his handler. |
